Abstract: | Costeaning revealed essentially uniform siltstone-phyllite of the Burrell Creek Formation with minor ironstone units. Shallow reverse circulation drilling of one of these achieved a best result of 1m at 0.17ppm gold. Minor quartz veins and pegmatite were located, however the pegmatites did not carry gold mineralisation. Some cassiterite was visible. The quartz veins were of too low a grade and too narrow to be economic. |
