Abstract: | Exploration was conducted for a high grade gypsum deposit in the vicinity of Lake Sylvester near Brunette Downs Station. Gypsum had been located in creek beds, creek banks on the lake floor and during excavation of a dam. Reconnaissance sampling by helicopter allowed the collection of samples that were sufficiently encouraging to warrant mobilisation of a drill rig. Auger drilling revealed a gypsum deposit with a size and grade which did not meet the Company's criteria. It is recommended to relinquish at least part if not all the EL. |
