Abstract: The Lookin Area occupies part of the Northern Litchfield Block adjacent to the Western Margin of the Pine Creek Geosyncline. The sequence of greenschist to upper amphibolite facies metasedimentary rocks, which occurs in the area, resembles in many important aspects the Early Proterozoic Cahill Formation, host to the uranium ore deposits along the Eastern margin of the Pine Creek Geosyncline. No significant new targets areas have been outlined from RAB drilling, low order uranium values returned are generally associated with granitoid bands. Areas of strong alteration-choritization are associated with moderate base metal levels but no apparent enrichment in uranium, at least at shallow depths. In one part of the Lookin Belt however, the A1 area, a consistently anomalous zone-horizon has been outlined and further exploration is justified.
