| Abstract: | The Proterozoic vein uranium potential within the Nicholson River Block has been largely downgraded. Exploration has revealed significant departures from the model in the Pine Creek Geosyncline for Arnhemland deposits. Results to date confirm the presence of rocks which are stratigraphically and lithologically similar to those occurring in the McArthur River area. Although these are encouraging features the lack of any major sulphide build up is a prime downgrading element. |
