Abstract: | Follow up rock chip sampling of ferruginous-gossanous sediment, chert beds and quartz veins were taken from the Octa Anomaly. Weak to moderate base metal anomalism was exhibited. The elevated levels were generally spotty. Only one sample returned anomalous gold values. Soil sampling over the Octa Anomaly defined two small Au anomalies. The western anomaly is associated with quartz veined ferruginous chert at the headwaters of the only stream in the area. The eastern anomaly is associated with strongly ferruginised quartz veined dolerite. |
