Title Holder / Company: | Newmont Australia Australian Development |
Report id: | CR1990-0064 |
Tenure: | EL6204 |
Year: | 1990 |
Author: | Preston, VA |
Abstract: | The report summarises the features of known deposits within the Tennant Creek Block. Interpretation of the purchased aeromagnetic data shows a relatively high relief which is thought to represent folded sediment of the Carraman Formation. Going across the EL NW-SE is a lineament of low magnetics interpreted to be intrusive granite. Geochemical survey results were low, expect where contaminated by the Extension mine. It has been decided that the probability of the area hosting significant gold mineralization is low and that the area should be relinquished. |
