Title Holder / Company: | Stockdale Prospecting |
Report id: | CR1999-0242 |
Tenure: | EL9458 |
Year: | 1999 |
Author: | Millikan, MI |
Abstract: | 7/6/99: 195 heavy mineral stream sediment samples were collected during the first year of tenure - most samples contained an abundance of chromites derived form the Antrim Plateau volcanics. However, two chromites were considered anomalous and were followed up by an additional 21 stream samples collected; again chromites thought to be of interest were recovered and a further 41 samples collected - 1 sample contained a high interest chromite. As no other kimberlitic minerals, nor a definitive trail of anomalous chromites was indicated, it was recommended that the licence be surrendered. |
