Abstract: | A ground magnetic and helimagnetic survey was completed in 1992. During the life of the licence three RAB drilling programmes were completed and targetted known micro diamond targets. No kimberlite was intersected although volcanic material was intersected in some holes. Numerous holes contained micro diamond(s) and occasionally a macro diamond. However kimberlitic indicator minerals were generally absent. The source for the micro diamonds is inconclusive although there is some evidence of a genetic link with volcanic rocks associated with brecciated basement. |
