Abstract: Initial evaluation of the tenements was with a 500 m line spaced aeromagnetic/radiometric survey. Gravity readings were also acquired within most of the area relinquished. Exploration in the area was multidisciplinary and because of lack of outcrop and potential host lithologies being covered by younger sediments. Evaluation was by lag sampling, vacuum drilling and RAB sampling. Assay results for the target elements, gold and arsenic was low and only a few isolated low order anomalism were obtained ie as at Hordern Hills, EL 2366 where a 5km quartz-amphibole-magnetite BIF outcrops. Most of the area relinquished is granite and its associated fringe lithologies. Magnetic anomalies were evaluated further by ground magnetic traverses and in some cases drilled for kimberlitic intrusives, none were found. This report contains excellent geological information of subsurface material, the synthesis thereof will enhance the geological knowledge of the area.
