Abstract: | An exploration programme aiming at locating gold and base metal mineralisation which may have been missed by previous rock chip sampling has been completed. A total of 25 stream sediment BLEG samples and 2 rock chip samples were collected and assayed for Au and multi-element analysis. Only 3 stream sediment samples returned low level anomalous gold values (0.79ppb, 1.09ppb and 1.57ppb). These samples are sourced from within the licence area and confined to the Burrell Creek Formation. The rock chip samples failed to return any anomalous assay values. The very low levels of the gold values coupled with the high level of visible outcrop and lack of encouraging float suggest the likelihood of locating areas of significant gold mineralisation is improbable. |
