Abstract: | During year 1, a regional gravity survey was undertaken as was a soil sampling program consisting of 1110 samples taken on a 500m x 250 m grid. Subsequent regolith mapping of the licence concluded that the surficial material was transported and the results of the soil sampling did not reflect the bedrock geochemistry. Hence the tenement was in part covered by a regional RAB drill program consisting of 24 holes which were nomally spaced at 2 km. Heavy water flow resulted in only a minority of holes reaching bedrock which was granite. A singular 12.5ppb Au anomaly was obtained from a manganiferous quartz vein within a gravitic host. No fieldwork was completed in the final year of tenure. |
