| Abstract: | During the tenement EL8676 no work was conducted. Within EL8677 2 loam samples collected but no kimberlitic indicator minerals obtained. Base metal exploration-research within EL8677 was conducted by Wilga Mines NL where the target was at Sorby Hills Pb-Zn body. Wilga Mines conducted an open file search. Took 141 soil gas vapour samples, re-interpretation of old seismic data, some gravity readings, and one TEM sounding. The gas vapour samples gave low results, while the interpretation of the gravity data suggests a shelf tract margin controlled by two fault systems. It is suggested that low order gravity highs could indicate limestone reefs and could also be targets for mineralisation, however this concept was not tested. |
