Abstract: | A RC and diamond drill program was completed to test several IP anomalies. The program comprised 3 shallow RC holes (water bores) and three diamond and 5RC percussion to test IP anomalies. Porphyritic shokinite is the dominant lithology. This material crosscut by pegmatitic granite dykes. The shonkinite is enriched in magnetite and contains minor iron sulphides disseminated. No visible Cu-Ni zones encountered. RC97MD007 (water) 100m SW of Braveheart intersect coarse grained pyrrhotite with minor chalcopyrite. Analysis failed to highlight any elevated Cu-Ni values. Downhole IP and magnetic susceptibility values suggest that the IP anomalies are associated with the magnetite in the Shonkinite. 82 20# +40# soil samples were collected as follow up to anomalous stream sediment copper values, NW of Braveheart and Cu-Ni north of Mt Doom. The work confirmed elevated Ni, Cu, Cr and Mg north of Mt Doom. Elevated values believed to be lithologically controlled sampling near Braveheart showed elevated values in copper which may of may not be lithologically controlled. |
