Partial relinquishment report on exploration activities for EL 6289 (Wongalara), 1-12-88 to 30-11-92

Abstract

The licence area was originally applied for to target economic diamond deposits, however more recent exploration has targeted base metal mineralisation. This report details the exploration within that portion of the tenement relinquished on the 28-11-1992. Exploration has included stream sediment and loam sampling for diamonds, and stream sediment sampling for base metals. Results from the diamond exploration revealed 6 non kimberlitic ilmenite grains and a singleton diamond which was not repeated during follow up sampling. Base metal exploration on the portion of the EL relinquished did not highlight any targets requiring follow up.
