Title: | Annual Report for the year ended 19 November 1988. |
Title Holder / Company: | Woodleigh Nominees |
Report id: | CR1989-0183 |
Tenure: | EL5682 |
Year: | 1989 |
Abstract: | Work initially has been confined to a preliminary survey of the area by ground parties using a four wheel drive vehical and on foot. As Exploration Licence No. 5682 was applied for by Woodleigh Nominees Pty. Ltd. primarily for its alluvial potential sampling has been conducted in the traditional manner using a post-hole digger and washing the sample by hand with a dish. This technique, ( whilst possibly not generating data that can be transformed into exiting reading reports) has stood the test of time and must still be regarded as one of the most effective methods of testing for alluvial tin and gold occurrences. Further, where the exploration activities focus on a small number of key personnel, traditional prospecting methods allow decisions regarding the retention or otherwise to be made quickly thereby hastening the turnover of ground for exploration by other miners. |
