Abstract: | The Bynoe Joint Venture carried out an extensive ground reconnaissance and aerial photointerpretation evaluation, which led to the discovery of five pegmatite intrusions originally worked by the Chinese, but unexplored since the turn of the century. A total of 793 m of backhoe trenching was carried out as an initial method of evaluating the pegmatites discovered. These trenches were channel sampled and the trenches and surrounding outc rops mapped for each of the five pegmatites. One prospect was drilled to follow-up results obtained from trench sampling. Further drilling is planned, as part of the 1988 Exploration Programme. |
