Abstract: | In Exploration Licence 4219, over 1700m of trenching was excavated to a) investigate an inferred extension of ESE oriented anticline which runs through the old Zapopan and Faded Lily gold workings b) elucidate the nature of a prominent photo linear feature running SE from the old Zapopan gold mine; c) assess the occurrence of gold mineralisation. Geological mapping of the trenches has revealed the presence of an anticline plunging steeply to the east. There is no indication, however, of quartz stockworks or veining associated with this structure. Results from assay data indicates negligible mineralisation with the unlikely discovery of economic mineralisation in this part of the sequence. A Self Potential survey was carried out over two of the six trenches. The results were negative. |
