Abstract: | Exploration licence 4634 and adjacent mineral claims form the Waterdrum Prospect. Mapping has defined north-south trending fold axes within an area of Mount Bonnie Formation and Gerowie Tuff adjacent to the Prices Springs Granite. A drainage and outcrop sampling programme has been carried out with results suggesting that the mineral claims hold more potential for gold mineralization than EL4834. Sampling of the drainage system indicates a widespread occurrence of trace gold but this may possibly be derived from a palaeosurface source. A programme of -80 mesh sampling of restricted drainage areas with assaying for arsenic and possibly other elements is recommended. |
