Abstract

Field work commenced on the ground in mid-October as a continuation of the radiometric/geological traversing programme performed in EL 4856. Prospecting of the unconformable contact between the Lower and Middle Proterozoic rocks will be ongoing into 1987. Detailed interpretation of NTGS geophysical data including magnetrometer and radiometry was performed by TMA geological and geophysical staff. A helicopter-borne gravity survey was conducted prior to the commencement of ground work. The geophysical data has been integrated to produce a series of interpretative plans which will be utilized to target the specific areas for further detailed exploration.
