Abstract: This interpretation of the Rum Jungle Area is based upon the airborne geophysical survey data obtained for the Northern Territory Geological Survey by Austirex Pty Ltd of Sydney in 1982. The area chosen for interpretation covers portion of 1:50 000 sheets Noonamah 5172 IV, Bynoe 5072 III and Reynolds River 5071 II. The airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys were re-grided from the located data tape and re-contoured. To enable a more detailed study of the data the magnetics were divided into regional and residual components by using the analytical data method outlined by Spector and Grant. To aid in the location of anomalies and the removal of geometrical features produced by the dip of the earth's field the data was reduced to the pole. The enhancement of the radiometric plan was achieved by plotting U/Th and U2/Th ratios.
