Abstract: | This report describes the uranium exploration programme carried out by TOTAL Mining Australia Pty Limited over their EL 4414 in 1984. The programme included reconnaissance mapping and prospecting of the entire tenement and culminated in orthodox uranium exploration methods locating a series of surface radiometric anomalies associated with Early Proterozoic near -shore sediments. Blanket ground magnetic and scintillometer surveys were followed by EM conductivity in selected areas. Shallow trenching preceded the drilling of eleven percussion drill holes with two holes partially cored. Two holes intersected uranium mineralisation over narrow widths. Additional work is recommended for 1985. |
