Title: Final report on Mosquito Creek North MCC 188 and South MCC 189.
Title Holder / Company: CRA Exploration
Report id: CR1985-0294
Tenure: MCC188;  MCC189
Year: 1985
Author: Harvey, BE
Abstract: MCCs 189 and 189 were held to investigate BIF facies rocks with anomalous basemetal and precious metal geochemistry, especially where these rocks disappeared under cover. This follows on from work on the former EL 3668. The area is along Mosquito Creek in the Murchison Range. The area of non-outcrop was surveyed and leveled. Ground magnetometer, detailed gravity and EM-34 surveys were carried out. No anomalous values attributable massive sulphide were detected. Elevated geochemistry was attributed to slightly more sulphidic facies of the BIF. No further investigation is warranted. Both claims were surrendered. MCC 188 was only officially in place for three months. MCC was not finally surrendered until 1989, having been officially in place in for four years, but there was no on-ground work carried after November 1985.
