Abstract: This report outlines all work conducted during the tenure period of ELs and SEL (1991-1997). A regional gravity survey was conducted and regional magnetic surveys were acquired and processed, and interpreted. The aeromagnetics defined the ESE-WNW elongate trend associated with the regional Quartz Hill Fault and mary Lane Shear Zone. Photogeological mapping was also undertaken in the tennant Creek district. Between 1992 and 1994 normandy cobducted two regional vacuum drilling programmes on the SEL. Both cover (HMC) and bedrock samples were collected and assayed. This work returned some coincident Au-Cu anomalism, however follow up rock chip and vacuum drilling failed to return significant values. It is noted that samples from a quartz blow returned values to 4.15g-t Au. Samples 1km away returned anomalous Cu and Bi. During the third year of tenure a review of all exploration undertaken over the SEL was conducted, and a decision was made to relinquish the area.
