Abstract: | A deal was made in late 1995 between Aberfoyle Resources and Ashton Mining whereby Aberfoyle can explore the tenement for Zn-Pb-Cu mineralisation in the Middle Proterozoic lithologies of the McArthur Basin. Ashton retain the tenement title and diamond rights within that tenement. Work completed by Aberfoyle on the relinquished portions of the tenement during the reporting period has been limited due to the lack of availability of the aircraft contracted to fly the airborne EM survey. Work involved geophysical interpretation of the relevant map sheet areas and compilation of open file exploration records. The tenement was reduced from 23 to 12 sub-blocks on 23-05-1996. The retained portion is still considered highly prospective for SEDEX mineralisation, and it has been flown with airborne EM at the time of reporting. |
