Abstract: | The title was examined for its diamond and base metal potential. Diamond exploration consisted of a literature review which highlighted untested aeromagnetic anomalies. These were verified by helisupported ground magnetics and followed up by RAB and diamond drilling. 10 holes totalling 319m and 3 diamond holes were completed. Results did not support a primary kimberlite source for the anomaly. Other diamond exploration included the collection of 32 reconnaissance gravel samples and single loam sample. 3 samples contained a single microdiamond each, while the remainder were negative. Base metal exploration included the compilation of available data and drilling 4 diamond holes. Drilling confirmed the presence of anomalous lead in the Reward dolomite. |
