Abstract: In 1991 a bedrock sampling programme was undertaken consisting of 1454 RAB and Vacuum drill holes totalling 9134.4m. This programme outline some 65 geochemical anomalies and 18 of which were anomalous in 2 or more elements. 8 of these anomalies were checked to ensure that they are due to bedrock and not due to transported material. 5 were confirmed, 2 of which were of particular note. One of the anomalies of note is referred to as the Pelican Anomaly is some 1500 x 300m. The Nelson Grid is on the ESE extension of a shear which hosts the Explorer 80 anomaly. 85 soil samples were collected-apparently anomalism associated with contamination from the Warrego Rd. 79 holes totalling 226 m were drilled. There was no Au-Bi anomalism highlighted in this programme, however 2 areas of Cu-Pb anomalism were highlighted. The Grays Grid occurs in EL7443. In this area soil sampling programme was undertaken revealing several areas with anomalous gold geochemistry (max 140ppb).
