Abstract: | 2 diamond drill holes totalling 555.3m were completed, a third hole was abandoned at 77.5m due to the flowing sand, gravel and a high influx of salt water (>3000gph). The diamond drill holes intersected 190m of Karns Dolomite overlying Masterton Sandstone. Further interpretation has outlined a structurally complex zone which is believed coincident with the eastern limb of the Batten Trough. Airborne EM discounted as an effective exploration tool due to conductive surface layer. |
