Title: Annual report for EL 6764 Bing Bong for 5 July 1990 to 4 July 1991.
Title Holder / Company: Ashton Mining
Report id: CR1991-0440
Tenure: EL6764
Year: 1991
Abstract: The aeromagnetic anomalies outlined by BHP or EL4678 remained unexplained. Ashton located and tested these anomalies by ground magnetics and RAB drilling. One anomaly, Bing Bong South, was determined to be a result of contouring, while Bing Bong East is a result of a small trachyte plug. The remaining anomaly, Bing Bong West, has not been satisfactorily explained. All analysis of drill spoils proved negative for kimberlitic indicator minerals or diamonds.
