Title: Annual Report EL 6764 5th July 1992 to 4th July 1993.
Title Holder / Company: Ashton Mining
Report id: CR1993-0476
Tenure: EL6764
Year: 1993
Abstract: 25 line km of ground magnetics in 7 lines were completed as follow up of faults interpreted from airborne magnetics. In general there was good correlation between the airborne magnetics and the ground follow up. A 307.4m diamond drill hole was completed to provide stratigraphic control for the airborne magnetics. Proterozoic Balbirini Formation was intersected at 36.1m and continued to total depth. The fault structures were tested in 1992 by 69 RC percussion holes totalling 3397m. Cretaceous cover varied from 2-64m. The maximum assays obtained were 266Oppm Cu, 424ppm Zn and 2042ppm Mn. 3 of the lines returned anomalous values from the SW end of the line. Follow up of these anomalous values was by a 50 hole percussion programme. At the time of the anniversary 26 holes totalling 1506m had been completed. Results from the follow up are unavailable.
56 km of track building completed in 1992. In 1993 27km existing tracks refurbished and 30 km of new tracks built.
