Title: Annual exploration report EL 96 Mount Rugged year ending 29 May 1975
Title Holder / Company: Nobelex
Report id: CR1976-0001
Tenure: EL96
Year: 1976
Abstract: Exploration work during the period consisted of gridding, ground magnetometry, surveying, geological mapping and evaluation of data. This work was carried out on the following prospects, Brumby, Donkey, New Hope West, R14/15, R20, R27, R29, Red Terror Blackboy and TC40. Shallow drilling was carried out on New Hope West, R14/15, R27 and TC4O. Dust and diamond drilling was carried out on R29 and diamond drilling on R29, Red Terror Blackboy and TC4O. Exploration was carried out on three types of prospects and areas during the period. 1) Prospects located on magnetic anomalies defined by the latest aeromagnetic survey. 2) Prospects which had been examined prior to tenure of EL 96 and potentially favourable extensions of these prospects. 3) Prospects located in areas considered to be potentially favourable due to their geological and/or spatial relationship to producing mines. Prospect locations and access are included where not previously presented.
