Annual report EL 96, Mt Rugged

Abstract

Exploration Licence 96 covers an area of 695 square kilometres. The centre of the area is located 19 km east of Tennant Creek in the Nobles Nob Mount Rugged area and one section extends north of the town into the Quartz Hill area. This report should be read in conjunction with the Annual Exploration Report for the year ended 29th. May, 1973. Exploration work during the period consisted of gridding, ground magnetometry, geological mapping, surface rockchip sampling, surveying, mapping and sampling underground workings, assaying, anomaly location and re-evaluation of old data. This work was carried out on the following prospects and areas R17, R24-25, R27, R29, R30, R31, TC39- TC36, TC40, Burnt Shirt, Red Terror, Craig Dhu, 7300W, Golden Dingo, Mt. Rugged Area and Nob West-Juno Area. Shallow drilling was carried out on R29, TC39, TC4O, Craig Dhu and 7300w. Diamond drilling was carried out on TC39, TC4O and Red Terror. An airborne geophysical survey was flown over EL 96.
