Abstract: Initially an airborne EM survey was flown. This outlined two conductive anomalies referred to as Loop 72 and Loop 73 as well as confirming the location of Amoco's M12 anomlay. The loop 72 and 73 anomalies were regarded as being possibly kimberlitic in nature or as a result of superficial weathering. Follow up at each locale included percussion drilling and pisolite sampling. No anomalous base values were obtained and no kimberlitic material was intersected. Ground EM at the M12 prospect suggested possible Barney Creek Formation near the Splinter Fault. Subsequent Basin studies of Glyde Sub Basin downgraded the prospectivity of the area. Diamond exploration consisted of 11 regional gravel samples. Results were negative.
Structural features reported include: Glyde Sub Basin.
