Title: Fourth annual report for ERL 74 for the period 24-12-1995 to 23-12-1996, Tennant Creek, NT, White Devil
Title Holder / Company: Posgold
Normandy Exploration
Report id: CR1997-0069
Tenure: ERL74
Year: 1997
Author: Bosel, C
Abstract: Exploration during the reporting period included a small infill vacuum drilling programme south of the White Devil Pit and a substantial extension of the MMI soil geochemistry sampling programme over the Nav 6 mineralisation trend through yo the eastern ERL 74 boundary. A deep diamond hole was put into both the Nav 6 trend and below the Crusader Ironstone, however the majority of RC/diamond drilling occured due west of the White Devil Mine into what was termed 'Northern Ironstone'. The vacuum and MMI results confirmed mineralisation that was already known, but failed to locate any new positions. The Crusader and Nav 6 holes did not return any anomalous gold intervals. Hole WDDD-1147 encountered a previously uknown ironstone pod which assayed an encouraging 2m @ 6.1 g/t Au. Subsequent intensive drilling found it to be a small flat-dipping lens, with no continuity of ore grades.
