Abstract: | MCN3928-52 cover the L3 and Highlander prospects. Work to date surface sampling outlined a coherent gold anomaly at the Highlander Prospect. This anomaly was followed up by 22 RC holes. This drilling outlined a stratabound westerly dipping zone of gold mineralisation. A single RC hole at the L3 prospect was designed to test a gold anomaly at this prospect. This hole intercepted a zone of intense quartz veining with anomalous gold value (0.1-0.4g-t Au) and high arsenic (1000 to 3000 ppm). A diamond drill hole was completed at Highlander to test beneath the base of oxidation. This hole terminated at 108m. Gold mineralisation was found to be associated with quartz limonite veining with hematitc haloes and quartz pyrite veins hosted by carbonaceous siltstone. |
