Abstract: | 551 rock chip samples were collected from ferruginous quartz within the Koolpin, Mount Bonnie and Burrell Creek formations. 7 anomalous areas were outlined. Best Chance, Everest, Gentry's Chance, Hot Rock, Marcelle's, Nicki's Chance and Ridge Top. Geological mapping indicated that all sedimentary rocks in the area had undergone intense folding and brittle fracture. Sulphide mineralized quartz veining occurs A) along a central fold closure which hosts the majority of the tin mineralization. B) Within parasitic folds in the limbs of the major folds and on the eastern flank of the Pine Creek Shear Zone. 8 RC holes totalling 758m were completed at Marcelle's and Nicki's Chance prospect to test the source of the anomalies values. Limited gold mineralization was intersected. A best values of 2m at 2.92g-t Au was obtained from Marcellas. No significant values were obtained from Nicki's Chance. |
