Abstract

42 samples were collected from trap sites (sample density 1:17sq km). 5 samples were positive, 2 containing 1 macrodiamond each. These positive samples were followed up. 8 additional stream sediment samples were collected, 7 of which were positive, returning multiple chromites and for two sample single microdiamonds. A further 10 samples were collected returning multiple chromites. SEM analysis revealed chromites to be a mix of kimberlitic and nonkimberlitic chromites. -2mm loam sample was collected from a circular feature returning a single microdiamond and chromite. 36 -80# samples were collected and analysed for base metals. No anomalous values were obtained.
