Abstract: | In the second year of tenure the open file geochemical data compilation was completed. This work revealed that the Waterhouse No.4 radiometric and geochemical anomaly is largely situated outside EL 7385. 'Waterhouse West' was also identified and was followed up by RAB drilling. Moderately anomalous Pb, Zn and Cu results were obtained from several holes. 40 RAB holes were dug along 4 lines and bottom hole 'C' horizon samples were taken. These gave maximum values of 550ppm Pb, 360ppm Zn and 310ppm Cu. Higher values were achieved in the adjacent EL 7374 and possible untested extensions of these trends may occur in EL 7374. 2 rock chip samples were also collected but no significant values obtained. Drilling suggests that the Coomalie Dolmite does not occur in the Waterhouse West area contrary to earlyer geological interpretations. |
