Title: Annual report on MLC 52 Muscadel or Explorer 38 for the 12 month period to 18 April 1993
Title Holder / Company: North Flinders Mines
Report id: CR1993-0530
Tenure: MLC52
Year: 1993
Author: Archibald, DAC
Abstract: The work completed in this anniversary period consisted of gridding 3.3 line kms of gravity and ground magnetic surveys, 288 vacuum drill holes totalling 1182.5m and 9 RAB holes totalling 528m. The gravity and magnetic surveys delineated circular anomalies within the tenement. The bedrock, vacuum drill programes results were generally disappointing with the majority of gold assays being <1ppb Au and with only 4 assays >3ppb (max value 7ppb Au). A low level Au-Cu-Bi anomaly is associated with the gravity high. The coincident geochemical-geophysical anomaly was tested by 8 RAB holes. These holes intersected low levels of anomalism (ax. 0.84g-t Au) and generally down graded the prospectivity of the area.
