Abstract: | During August 1992, 277 infill samples were collected for analyses from systematic N-S and NE-SW line traverses over target area 3. In addition rock chip samples were taken following outcrop on the eastern and western ends of the area 3 arctuate magnetic feature described in previous reports as well as in hilly country with prominent quartz rich sediments, expressed as ridges in target area 5. Results were disappointing with a downgrading of gold potential. More intensive petrological sampling did not confirm sinter or BIF's at least in the samples collected in 1992. Some base metal relative anomalies from the 1991 season may be spurious. There is some possibility for Cu-Zn mineralization hosted in metasediments. |
