Abstract: | The extensive outcrop of the area was mapped using chain and compass. In addition 43 rock chip samples were collected (maximum value 0.68g-t Au). Those from the vicinity of the Queen of Sheba and the Evening Star Mines contained anomalous gold in the sheared and brecciated hematite shales. 940 vacuum drill holes totalling 4563m were drilled in areas of cover. Contouring of Au, Cu and Bi values show a pronounced NNE trend. A coincident Au-Cu-Bi anomaly was outlined in the vicinity of the northern magnetic anomaly (maximum assay 28ppb Au). 4 RAB holes were drilled in a coincident Au, Bi, Cu anomaly (maximum assay 6ppb Au). |
