Abstract: | Exploration designed to test for MVT base metal mineralisation associated with the Arthur Creek or Chabalowe Formations. Work undertaken consisted of 53 rock chip samples, analysis of seismic shot holes, geological mapping and 2 RC percussion-diamond drill holes. Rock chip samples returned anomalous base metal values (maximum 1.78% Pb, 3800ppm Zn and 4400ppm Ba). Analysis of splits from seismic shot holes show anomalous values are associated with the Cambro-Ordovician unconformity. DD92TC1 was drilled to test at depth below mineralisation at the Box Hole Bore. The sabkha facies of the Chabalowe Formation was not present and the next stratigraphic target occurs at some 800m. DD92EC1 was drilled adjacent to the Putta Putta Fault, targeting basal shoal of the Arthur Creek Formation. 200m of Chabalowe Formation which appear to have been altered by hot circulating fluids. No significant base metal values were obtained. |
