Abstract: | The base metal results from last year's work are included in this report since they were not available at the time of writing the 1990 report. no significant anomalous base metal results were obtained. During 1991, work consisted of a follow up soil sampling programme in 2 anomalous zones defined by work completed in 1990-designated zones 1 and 2. This work identified a highly anomalous zone (max 418ppb), within zone 2. It measures 700m x 400m and is open to the SE. 24 rock chip samples were collected from quartz veins in the area, with a maximum value of 4.28 ppm Au being returned. The mineralised zone defined by the rock chip sampling lies on a synclinal closure, and is thought to represent the north-western extension of the mineralisation at the old Virginia mine. |
