Abstract: | Northern Gold conducted an exploration programme designed to test ERL 95 for Au mineralisation. 3 anomalous zones were delineated including a 600m long zone which appears to be a strike continuation of the Cosmo Howley mineralisation. 12 rock chip samples were collected returning some anomalous values. One sample of ironstone with quartz strings returned an assay of 2.44ppm Au. Soil sampling returned values to 686ppb Au from anomaly 1, 42ppb Au from anomaly 2, and 3168ppb Au from anomaly 3. This last anomaly is situated on a flood plain of a creek which drains the Cosmo Howley mine, and therefore may be caused by alluvial gold which has been washed down the drainage. Potential may exist for a small tonnage alluvial gold resource. |
