Title: | Annual Report EL 4498 Ranford Hill. |
Title Holder / Company: | Australian Coal and Gold Holdings Troy Resources |
Report id: | CR1990-0523 |

Year: | 1990 |
Author: | Doepel, JJG |
Abstract: | Exploration work carried out involved gridding, geological mapping, rock chip sampling, stream sediment sampling, processing of aeromagnetic data and aerial photography. This work testeda zone of gossanous cherts which carry elevated base metal values over a strike length of about 900m. The zone trends NW-SE and passes through ELs 4498, 5929 and 6391. Although the 3 licences have been explored by Troy as a single project, separate reports have been submitted for all 3 licences. This report refers specifically to EL 4498. Significant base metal mineralisation has been located of probable hydrothermal origin. Faulting along the Coronet Fault system has affected the sequence substantially and may have helped to upgrade and localise mineralisation. Peak values are 350ppm Cu, 1.54% Pb, 1910ppm Zn, and 0.08ppm Au. |
