Abstract: Exploration has shown that the alluvial deposits are polycyclic. An early phase in which the thick layer of coarse poorly sorted material was deposited-grades to 0.6LCM. Gold occurs throughout but concentrates grades at or near to the floor. The latter phase was thinner with better sorted material. Good gold values were returned at the contact between the two gravels. The volume of gold bearing gravels is estimated at 850 000 BCMs.
