Abstract: | Work at Madam Margi Hills produced only low assay results. However the presence of iron rich amphibole bearing lithologies is considered important and further work is justified. At the Hyatt prospect RAB and RC drilling failed to intersect basement lithologies, encountering problems with clay rich drainage sediment and shallow water table. To adequately test the magnetic anomaly, specialized mud drilling techniques have to be utilised. RAB drilling at Officer Hill established a number of low order geochemical anomalies. RC drilling located 3 zones of highly anomalous potentially economic mineralisation in a sequence of partly altered pelitic schist and acid volcanics. |
