Abstract: 1988 drill programme located no significant mineralisation. Some narrow uranium mineralisation was intersected at Big Bluff and Hat Trick prospects but none were thicker than 0.2m or >0.15% e uranium. The degree of structural deformation, due to folding and faulting is considerably less then noted at the Allamber Embayment. It is believed that the thermal history effecting the Proterozoic is less significant in the EL than the in the Allamber project as reflected by the lesser number of granite dykes and marked lack of hydrothermal alteration of sediments. The prospect of finding ore grade uranium deposits is not high and so relinquishment is recommended. The results of limited drilling were disappointing. Mineralisation occurs confined to veins in graphite-chlorite schists.
