Abstract: | This report summarises exploration activities undertaken during tenure life. Loam samples were taken from EL 4596 for the detection of kimberlitic indicator minerals. These were collected from selected anomalies from acquired geophysical data, and photo features. A single, non-kimberlitic micro diamond was recovered from photo feature 105, however a re-sample of the same location revealed no microdiamonds. This downgraded the diamond potential of the EL. Interpretation of aeromagnetic data was carried out to assist in area selection of possible basement base metal prospects. Gravity and ground magnetic surveys were completed on 5 traverses over 2 magnetic anomalies. Diamond drilling of a gravity anomaly (a flat lying body) overlying a deep magnetic source was undertaken, but no mineralisation was intersected. Drill core samples taken preclude the potential for significant base metal mineralisation. Review of results in the fifth year of tenure led to the surrender of title. |
