| Abstract: | An initial phase of alluvial gold exploration was carried out by Mentana during 1986-1989. Hardrock gold exploration was carried out by Northern Gold during 1988 and 1989. Work involved geomorphological studies, pan sampling, geochemical sampling and an airborne geophysical survey. As a result of the exploration app. 6 graticule blocks were converted to other tenements prior to the expiry of EL 4736. The 8 blocks surrendered showed little indication of economic mineralisation. |
