Abstract: A programme of geological mapping, trenching and sampling was conducted in two areas of old gold diggings at Redhill and Cornerpost on the Port Darwin camp. Results demonstrated that mineralization at the area consists of zones of quartz veining in the Koolpin formation siltstones at contacts with metadolerite sills on the western limb of the Yam Creek anticline. The work was not sufficient to reliably define the grades and tonnage of these deposits, but there appears to be potential of the order of 100,000 to 200, 000 tonnes of low grade open pitable ore at each of these locations.
